-unending battle
to change the view
-unbending will
to not be a victim
of fear-inducing stories
-to not let the leash
tighten on thoughts

helplessness grips
silenced rebellion haunts
-march on
sow seeds of change
-let the future
reap the fruit
it deserves

  6. Great poem, Reena! Fearmongering irritates me so much! Even if I agree with the point that the fearmongering is trying to make, the way that the topic is presented really matters for how others respond to it – and when the cause is serious, you don’t want others to roll their eyes, assuming so much exaggeration that the topic is actually quite trivial, nor do you want frantic unhelpful attempts to fix the issue that actually make it worse. We need clear headed thinking.

    Reena, it is a battle because so many in power and/or who want to be in power gather it by fearmongering. One of the reasons I love the blogging community is that we can share with and support each other in a positive way.
