Can I sell?

I wonder who waters the plants everyday, as I climb the stairs after two decades.

I’ve inherited a house where my Grandma lived alone, and have no clue what to do with it. Should I retain it because of associated memories or put it on sale? After all, I may  never return to this township again.

I turn the key in a rusted lock and push open the door.

A surprise awaits me. The house is clean, lights are on, and there’s a shadow in the kitchen.

“Who’s there?”

“How could I leave before handing over? Liberate me…”

Grandma…. (gasp)

    1. Let me share an experience. My Mom was looking for an insurance policy after my father’s death but could not find it. After an intensive search, she fell asleep on the couch. She says she dreamt of my father saying “There’s a blue file in a particular drawer inbuilt in the sofa-cum-bed.” And she found it there.
