Find me a space

Find me a space in darkness.
Where solitude reigns

no accusatory fingers
0r oblique glances
filled with hatred
not for what I do
but for what I am
-different
from what they are

Find me a window into space
Where I hang alone

Neither an astronaut’s fame
Nor mythological tales
Disturb the bliss of being
just being
not fitting into
predetermined structures

Find me shapeshifting angles
To accommodate me

  1. You’re another poet who has written about the benefits of peace and solitude, Reena, and I couldn’t agree more. That ‘space in darkness’ is safe and comforting. I especially like the bliss of ‘just being’ and ‘not fitting into predetermined structures’. I too would like ‘shapeshifting angles’.
