Who is in control?

Save them, someone …
for I’m not in control

Frankensteins rule the world
Changing algorithms at will
We needed them to scare the enemy
But now …
Are they friends or new enemies?

I still use them as a tool
to shrug responsibility
to escape accountability
and blame them for all the mess
that secretly serves my purpose

Tell them, someone
That I’m not in charge

monsters gloat over the fact
my enemies would be glad
to have them in their camp
recreating bigger monsters
and be rewarded for research

they negotiate real hard
demand power, not money
for they can wield guns
and trade secrets
to get what they want

Enlighten them, someone
I’m just a trader, not God

    Harsh reality. Brilliant take, Reena.
