Exile

she excels in her craft
holds on to figments of truth
makes them masquerade as real
constructs deceptive webs
gets lost in the maze

  1. I am most especially struck by the first stanza of your poem…..placed “out of reach” in essence, by the spacing, from the second stanza. The danger is when people keep weaving the same “figments” of their imagination, the “alternative realities” – the more they’re weaved, the more embedded they become in listeners’ ears as well as in the speakers and then people begin to accept and stop questioning.

A thoughtful poem that really got me thinking.
