I open my eyes and look at the hospital ward, but the sound that slowly seeps through me is, “Death is the greatest adventure and a free ride to be enjoyed.”
“He is coming back to life’, says another sombre voice, and it transports me to another realm—but coming back—from where? I faintly recall people in long robes chanting mantras and invoking Death in a place similar to a funeral ground.
“We are lucky to have rescued him from the clutches of tantriks,” says someone to my mother, silently shedding tears, “If you wish, the videos can be dropped on OTT channels.”
Can there be a more extraordinary reality show than being air-lifted to another world and then dropped back on a hospital bed with new sensibilities?
Will those limited beings confined by life ever understand what lies beyond?

When reality TV completely changes everything! Startlingly dystopic and quite well done Six!

A major part of reality shows is scripted. Real videos can be doctored or given a different context.
Thank you, Liz!

They can, for sure. And then reality and…telling stories can blur.

‘that is the question’ (shout-out to Bill the Bard)
love Sixes where I look up and learn… did with your use of ‘tantriks’
you know, if you accept the concept that reality is the immediate recollection of the previous past (intervals so tiny as to be invisible) then I can claim (and invite you) to be immortal!
(ok, so, if we accept this premise and, at some time in the future, we die, then our capacity to ‘recollect’ vanishes. And, in vanishing, it necessarily cascades backwards in time. All the way back to now. But here I still am! ergo, we are all immortal!)
lol one of this I love about your Sixes… totally conducive to letting the imagination (the True Fruit of a certain Garden) run wild.

I find the thought “In vanishing, if necessarily cascades backwards in time” intriguing to say the least.
I often wonder if after death, the soul knows what the mind was doing wrong. Or do the errors just get buried?

For some reason, I’m thinking of Hamlet and his soliloquy. Do you stick with what you know, or flee to who knows what?

Thanks! There have been cases of people who died/almost died and returned. Anita Moorjani is the famous one.

Being “air-lifted to another world” sounds like a wild ride. One may not want to come back.
