Tring, tring
the alarm rings
I start walking
without fully waking
chopping, boiling
kneading, cooking
cursing expectations
breaking barriers
carving a poem
in my mind
banging keyboards
talking online
meeting deadlines
before and after
the coveted break
The Sun sets in the West
Energy levels slip South
Gearing up once again
To wind up household routines
to being myself
In front of a screen
that stimulates thoughts
reading minds
through pages or screens
I love the finale
putting together
scattered pieces
finding myself
in the chaos

Sounds like my day, Reena! 👏💖 Beautiful write.

Great poem Reena,
I felt the fast pace of moving through your day – “carving a poem in your mind”, in the background of multi-tasking, then the slow down as “the sun sets in the West” building up again to the end of the day, finding yourself – you certainly put it together well!
