lines define
boundaries; yet
bring it all together
as a whole
in shapes and forms
with colour-bursts
becoming accent-pieces
overlapping contours
melting pot cultures
conflicting currents
compel fresh views
on long-held beliefs
sparkling tiny stars
on dark, stormy skies
lose identity
as dawn breaks

Loved the way you concluded the poem, dawn blurring divisions, what a hopeful thought!

Reena, your poem made me thing of motion and waxing and waning in all things. I particularly like the imagery of the last stanza.

Yes. I see a lot of change in the next generation which moved abroad to study and work.

I really hope that it could be like this, but alas too many have locked themselves in their own views.

I enjoyed your ‘overlapping contours’, Reena, and love these lines especially:
‘sparkling tiny stars
on dark, stormy skies
lose identity
as dawn breaks’.
