I extensively use the tanka, shadorma and cinquain formats – other than free verse in poetry.

a tanka
or a shadorma
depends on
the first few
words that strike – and syllables
repeating motifs

where does the muse strike
five syllables is a wow
I need to work it
make it look like a tanka
haiku, senryu – just write
bussokusekika stretch

just two
syllables here
multiply it further
watch a cinquain emerge from it
