Mirrors

Despite the shine
I blacken my behind
to enable reflection

I’m not the internet
yet – a storehouse
of veritable information

your myriad forms
and secrets
locked inside
I stay prepared
to reflect all
who face me
from the front
or just glide

Why am I afraid
of being stabbed in the back?
a human may want
to delete the unpalatable
unable to digest
differences
between fact and fable

-such are human foibles
-such are life’s crucibles
to hold reality,
perspectives and
all that lies
in connecting cables
