At the root of patriarchy

She follows no rules
She does what she likes
How do we trust her?
Her temper
so easily spikes

There’s so much at stake
if she is let loose
unstructured society
polluted mindsets
will become a muse

many more will rebel
do what they like
How do we control them?
their temper spikes.

let’s give her a chance
for she’s born to us
let her walk on coals
If she floats then she is not
A witch like we had thought

If she burns herself
let her go
we’ll live in peace
without a show

Who likes confrontations anyway?
she might be stronger than us
let her board another bus

  2. I wonder that we’ll ever overcome the patriarchy – it is again surging in the west like dangerous creature that cannot easily be disposed. I love this – it is indeed somber, but a wonderful write.
