To love
is not being molded
to the lover’s needs
but be respected
for being you
It takes two to make a thing go right
A relationship
is not a document
of ownership
toxicity tears apart
two-toned fabrics
To love
is not being molded
to the lover’s needs
but be respected
for being you
It takes two to make a thing go right
A relationship
is not a document
of ownership
toxicity tears apart
two-toned fabrics

Reena this is delightful to read – the needs of both halves indeed must be met or love does turn into a master-slave relationship!~ Bravo!

Yes, relationships are not about ownership. They require tender loving care to flourish. 💜

Reena, the empowerment in your poem, acknowledging that love is about mutual respect and not conforming to someone else’s needs, is so striking! Well written ❤
Much love,

A fabric hangs together because its threads refuse to let go. Even if some threads dangle, if the whole is the most important, the fabric remains. Threads need each other to make something greater than themselves.

It is not only an outstanding piece but more than a worthy advice to all those into estranged relation of any type. Perfect stanzas with smooth flow of words, nicely bridged by the outstanding quote thereto. Stupendous take, Reena ji. My sincerest thanks. 👏👏
