Welcome back to another week of inspiration!

PROMPT #310

The theme for this week is POWER.

Here’s some beautiful poetry on power.

William Wordsworth, ‘The Power of Armies Is a Visible Thing’.

The power of Armies is a visible thing,
Formal, and circumscribed in time and space;
But who the limits of that power shall trace
Which a brave People into light can bring
Or hide, at will, – for freedom combating
By just revenge inflamed?

Perfection, of a kind, was what he was after,
And the poetry he invented was easy to understand;
He knew human folly like the back of his hand,
And was greatly interested in armies and fleets;
When he laughed, respectable senators burst with laughter,

I took my Power in my Hand—
And went against the World—
’Twas not so much as David—had—
But I—was twice as bold …

Here’s a one sentence story which kind of works on the theme.

Let us reclaim our power and get creative with words or a paintbrush or a camera.

There is no restriction on format of the piece. There is no last date either, unless you wish to be featured in the Weekly Wrap.
