Ghosted

Did anyone notice I’m missing today?
The garden is blooming, butterflies at play
Grass covers the few footsteps I left behind
No grudges against me, no axes to grind
It will grow anyway; and branches will sway

Let me crack open the sun and weigh
Gravity weakened; I’m turning grey
I’ll mingle with clouds, take time to rewind
No one knows I’m missing today

purported allies – friends with feet of clay
How can giants not leave footprints on the way?
No pact to sign; they want no duties assigned
It’s time to go blind; take my time to unbind
I have nothing to sell, no wares on display
No one knows I’m missing today
