To and fro

He looked at the mirror and saw a stranger. He had forgotten who he was.

Somehow, his descent to Planet Earth does not feel like homecoming.

He checks his device to know how many days will it take for the brain fog to clear. The answer is shocking – Less than a day. And he has been here for about three days now. Then what’s this emptiness surrounding him?

He types in furiously, “What is amiss?”

Ahh… now it’s coming back. He left behind someone on the Moon. She was so enamoured with the place, that she wanted to blend in. And one of those investigative spaceships sent by some country was willing to host a human presence.

He recalls the day he was all dressed and set for the journey of a lifetime. He looked at his family one last time, and then at his companion. The journey was going to be memorable.

She waved goodbye to her family, then boarded the spaceship. She was ready for a new adventure.
