The Whole Moon

it’s not a piece of the moon
but the whole
in my backyard

-it’s perfect
like the life
I always imagined
-it’s well-rounded
like opinions I seek
-it’s golden
without King Midas
or his cursed touch

it’s a piece of my subconscious
to drive life ahead
confidently
there never were any problems
there never shall be
