i wish we’d remained untouched
but the evil was pervasive
the fraud perpetrated left us in ruins
gutting our insides
and scarring our perspectives

but we fight
we overcome
and we rectify the misdeeds
restoring balance and harmony
the goodness will triumphantly rise again

It’s not necessarily a positive resonate because I have experienced such evil and horrible things in life that have left me in ruins and I still have so much anger and resentment because of it. But on the flip side of that, I have overcame and am still healing from all the inhumane and heinous childhood abuse I suffered. I’ll be healing for the rest of my life

        1. I understand, but I meant it more to say that I can appreciate when something reaches deep and can make you connect with your emotions. My writing is to express intensity. I’m sorry that it wasn’t a good recollection for you. I too understand your situation in enduring and overcoming childhood abuse. It indeed takes a lifetime to healing.
