Revenge

a soul scarred for life
every moment is a strife
surrendered pieces of self
call for restoration
life-cycle completion

The one that damaged
and got away
occupies all mind space
revenge is survival
not a competition
or race

How do they know
what I’ve been through
they never had compassion
but will know retribution
go through the same cycle
pain, helplessness
to know the impact
of their callousness

justice divine
not mine
