Jamie wonders if the office will miss him, as he walks out after quitting his sixth job.
It was not very long ago, when the Chief’s voice was singing his praise in the corridor, loud enough for everyone to hear. He was hailed for his efficiency and delivery against targets.
Today, they accepted his resignation swiftly saying that sadly he could not become the right cultural fit of this office, and it seems all so familiar.
The core management team or the old boys’ club has fully devoted people – not shy of manipulating figures or discarding ethics to present a sparkling balance sheet to all that mattered.
Jamie could never gain entry to those hallowed circles wearing an armor of ethics.

I guess Jamie’s not a Tory, so there’s still hope he’ll succeed!

When the cultural fit of a company involves discarding ethics then trust is gone as well. It is good that Jamie quits those jobs.
