it’s so easy to cross boundary lines
behave like you own the place
own people, own minds and lifestyles
demonstrate superiority
you were born privileged
to lord it over others
privilege of birth
status, money or just
-an assumption that others
should fall in line
because everybody you know
has always done so
-and everybody else will always do
It’s something you are used to
And can’t see any other cue
Then, one day
someone turns back
and asks who you are
if you’ve taken
requisite permission
before the transgression
and all hell breaks loose..
you don’t know how to respond
you’ve never met anyone so …
defiant or irreverent
with a personality
and clear boundary lines
the only way is to yell
all your way to hell
blame, criticize, accuse
tarnish, mentally abuse
Who will believe the newcomer
in your established terrain?
wait till Karma pours justice
wait till clouds disappear
but it continues to rain…
unheard voices reach a crescendo
It becomes difficult to contain
rebellion blowing apart ego
redefining skies and domains

Excellent take, Reena. That’s what is happening nowadays.
‘…the only way is to yell
all your way to hell
blame, criticize, accuse
tarnish, mentally abuse
Who will believe the newcomer
in your established terrain?… That’s how you can intimidate others. same tactics every time.

I’ve seen this tactic being used in families, workplaces, business and politics. Scary, but I keep fighting against it.
