Season – Eternity
It is the only truth, till apocalypse
Micro-season or Ko – Epiphany
It is the moment you really start living

humanity finds forbidden territories taste eternity
Me– I’m here only because Lisa allowed an imaginary season to be painted.
Physically, I live in a place that has a harsh summer, a mild summer and heavy monsoon.
Our micro-seasons comprise of traffic jams, lockdowns, levels of closure and reopening of what we used to call normalcy, virus, a new variant of virus and yet another, blames, counter-blames, government budgets with no tax reforms, no measures to address unemployment, no relief for Covid-struck businesses, volatility in stock markets. Yet, the city boldly moves on – knowing it will soon be in the past like those terrorist strikes and floods we’ve put behind.
Most of the time, I live only in my head.
Fish here breed in separate ponds – Delightful Visuals and Culinary Victims
Vegetables of the season are what you grow in your garden, like the thoughts you choose to reside in you and nourish your being.
Seasonal activity is being hooked to small screens, till they assume new forms and encompass our reality in a different way.
Attraction for the next season is being sold by theologians, space and time travel organizers, philosophers and writers. However, no one believes them as they invent their own micro-seasons – much more than 72, to step over to the next and next – till they lose sense of what is real or augmented or virtual or next level.

I love the imagery of seasons of eternity and the use of epiphany … which is also the Christian season we just left behind… we need all enlightenment we can have int the season of darkness (real or perceived)

Thanks for the inputs! I was not aware of the Christian season.

Wonderful place to be in – our head of imaginary lands. I don’t blame you to retreating there as reality can be harsh with the pandemic lockdown.

It’s also about where you connect better 😃 Thanks for stopping by, Grace!

Reena, I am so glad you participated. My mind, where I also often reside, is describing your epiphanic ko as inspired anomic existentialism. Like you suggest, it does seem like we are increasingly living in an ever-shifting anchorless altered reality. Hoping you have a place where you’re at to connect with nature beyond human constructions?

I wouldn’t take it as far as anomic or deviant behaviour. A river flows behind the concrete jungle, visible from my balcony. Mountains line the road to the next township. There are lot of trees around – if you call it ‘enough nature:.

Reena, didn’t mean deviant at all, more like examining one’s existence in the middle of chaos’ side effect of alienation. Being able to see the river and the mountains and trees have got to give you a grounding, orienting feeling, hopefully?

That second part is so true for me too, Reena… If I didn’t have a daughter to take care of, my mind would probably be in the clouds pretty much all the time…
I love where you took this prompt. Very offbeat 🙂
