Reshma Saujani is the founder of Girls Who Code.

She achieved fame with her Ted Talk on how we train girls to achieve perfection, and boys to be brave.

The popularity of the talk led to a book Brave, not Perfect.

In this article on Medium, she talks about her political experiments – how she ran for Congress at the age of 33. She got only 19% of the vote. The papers that earlier labelled her a rising political star, now said she wasted $1.3 million dollars on 6,321 votes. The math may have been humiliating, but the courage of the move – UNPRECEDENTED.
