I enjoy
Changing it like a cloak
Yet, the label fails
to contain me
Define me
Refine me
Or make me 
What I want to be…

  1. Aww yes, sometimes it feels as though we can’t break free of the person we ultimately created or was created for us by others’ perspectives. We build it, but we need to believe it is changeable. Love your thought-provoking poem, Reena.
