Delightful poem. It’s so hard to critique these Japanese forms! If they’re done well they float away and if poorly they thunk. This does not thunk! The words fit the form so gracefully – and the image is fresh. I’m reminded a bit of Emily Dickinson, whom I greatly admire. Also I’m quite enamored of the word ‘ardent’
I love the thought of dreams like this… somehow I imagine dreams growing into an adventurous garden.
