Your last line made me think of Carl Marx: “Religion is the opium of the people”, though I think it applies to a lot of politics today that is more or less the same as religion.

That line by Karl Marx drives a lot of my thoughts and writing. I see so many ‘opiums’ around – including internet addiction. Nobody wants to think.
