A stranger within me
emerges unannounced
threatens to engulf
my whole being
scatter me like ashes
all over the landscape
where was this spark hidden
for a lifetime?
unbeknownst to me
keeping me bound
In cages I did not choose
underestimating
a power
which can change the world…
Now that the mirror
speaks the truth
I will not break it
but block external influence
from clouding vision
once again…
Stranger within

Thank you, Susi! Saw the share on LinkedIn today. I wonder how Franci and you find old poems which I’ve forgotten. Just thought of putting some together in an ebook.

I just saw the notification and responded back to you on LinkedIn. When I joined WP, began saving all those pieces in a separate file since the time I started my blog.

Wow! I do have a few Word files, but choosing and compiling seems a mammoth task.

For me, it was simplest to keep the email notification of the post in a folder on Gmail and then I alternate between older and recent posts to reblog.

*Standing and clapping! This is marvelous, Reena! I feel this speaks to every single woman who reaches a point in her life where wisdom and maturity is the next big push in her life.
