Unknown, Unseen

A garden unknown, unseen

that lives in my dreams

 where hope grows

against the light

against the sun and wind

fuelled by a seed

unknown, unseen

where the nectar

is not devoured

by the bees

but grows to sweetness

unknown, unseen

where gardeners arrive

with sharp tools, then smile

they know the strong plants

will render those sterile

by a hidden strength

unknown, unseen

where visitors throng

admire from afar

they know it in their bones

it is not a playfield, but

a door left ajar for

a vision – unknown, unseen

where the bud knows

it will blossom fully

into a flower

with colors and fragrance

unknown, unseen
