Wounded

I don’t know which way to look – whom to cheer and whom to jeer.

The hubris of the majority hurts the minority pride, but they have no option other than making conciliatory sounds. It helps long-term interests, and they arrive at a new, peaceful manner of co-existence.

Suddenly they find that new dividing lines have been invented. They were never really one.

Each side propounds a different logic to defend its stance, but the overall impact is negative.

The bloodbath will stop soon, but wounds on the national psyche are etched deep.
