Shapeshifters

 sensitivity to numbness,
 distrust of trust,
 drug-induced euphoria.
 Reason clashes with Emotion
 What is true? Which is illusion?
 What I see and hear, or what I feel?
  
 A shift in perception
 creates conceptual clarity.
 white noise in the mind
 gives equanimity.
  
 I see you in a different light.
 each layer being peeled apart,
 hollow words falling off, byte by byte,
 leaving nothing to imagination.
  
 The stark emptiness of your core
 is non-refillable reality.
