“How about seeing a shrink, or the priest in the confession box?”

“Writing is a better outlet. It does not impose an alien viewpoint on me. Though I would like the characters to speak, and tell me their perspectives.”

“How can they, when you wield the keyboard?”

“They’re acquiring a life of their own.”
