Hidden science

This reminds me of the Stoddard Temple which the protagonist Howard Roark builds in Ayn Rand’s novel “Fountainhead”, and gets sued for. The argument centers around structures being built to make human beings feel dwarfed or elevated. I agree with the protagonist’s view on ‘feeling elevated’, and ‘able to rise or soar high’.

Then, I came across another point of view connecting tall structures or domes (I see arches here) to conservation of energy. These structures are more resistant to earthquakes and storms, and become natural places to take shelter in the time of natural disasters. The positive energy generated from prayer or chanting does not get lost in the open, but is reflected back.

Bells have a special significance in places of worship, as they refresh and reinvigorate energy. The sound of a bell lasts for minimum seven seconds, and it re-awakens seven Chakras of the body. It is also believed to unite the left and right brain. Bells generate sufficient energy to keep insects away. One does not come across pests even in temple basements. Maybe, Feng shui prescribes ringing a bell at home every day for this reason.

Copper plates are placed to absorb magnetic energy of the earth, and usually the idol of the deity is placed on it. The people coming close for worship benefit from positive magnetic vibrations.

Daily/weekly visits to places of worship are prescribed, as these places are seen as recharging centers. We have lost the science of measuring the energy quotient of a place.

I do not follow organized religion, and have not visited a place of worship for ages. But what I see in this picture is a lot of admirable art, and unexplored science.

  1. Marvelous write Reena. “Daily/weekly visits to places of worship are prescribed, as these places are seen as recharging centers” This has been a real experience in my personal life. Too many of them to share here but these visits are transforming the moment you enter. Thank you for this interesting post.
