Co-opetition

Mac and Alex chose notoriety to be better known. Nobody knew that those two arch rivals were secret friends, who strategized their public act well. They also managed to deflect attention when they worked in tandem a rival from outside. I am inclined to believe the teacher who said they were poised for success in the big, bad world –with or without each other.

It is a pleasure to interview them for a TV program after a decade. Mac is a fashion designer, and Alex a photo-journalist. Stardom needs an ecosystem. I see Mac’s latest fashion line in monochrome with splashes of yellow, and instinctively know – it takes the brightness of yellow to complement the darkness of black and purity of white.

Several years ago, nobody noticed why they possessed bikes in the same color.
