O man!
I am here
where I’m supposed to be
neither ahead nor behind
but besides you
 
I never nursed
ambitions of greatness
you were possessed
by this insane desire
to prove
superiority
 
You could have achieved greatness
on myriad other paths
touched godliness
But, you stupid fool….
 what did you do?
 
You belittled yourself
in belittling me
used physical force
to conquer
indomitable spirits
your depravity
catapulted me
to unscaled heights
where
I’d never aimed to be
