sip love slowly
lest it smothers you
with possessiveness
or sheer audacity
of possession
sip life slowly
to not be overwhelmed
with daily vicissitudes
taking in small measure
both joy and sorrow
glasses are snatched
cruelly, at times
but it was poison
I escaped
Sip slowly

I like the reminder to take in both joy and sorrow. Some sip only on one.

To relish one, you need juxtaposition with the other.

Nice phrase: “audacity
of possession” I had not thought of these two concepts together before.

It is indeed vain or audacious to think we can possess a living being, a thinking mind.
