A strange encounter

She wasn’t supposed to go there by herself, certainly not alone. But there was a allure to the forest that she couldn’t resist. She stepped in the semi darkness and looked for the lake that she was told was in the middle of this dense forest. Her eyes took a while to get accustomed to the dim light. She approached cautiously avoiding the low hanging branches of the trees. Somewhere on the way, her dress got caught in a branch, or so she thought.
