Time and I face each other – parallel
I stand still and look, while he sprints fast
evades eye contact, I know it won’t last
-whoever is trying to cast a spell
We coexist on paths, walk on eggshells
He wants me dated, is making a cast
I write strategic stories, I’m smart
how many quick notions will he dispel?
Then Time speaks – Stop to listen, brother!
You slip through ages in so many forms
We strive to catch up with one another
The gist of you is what I can’t gather.
We are both immersed in each other’s norms
Don’t compete, redefine each other!

I enjoyed this little confrontation with time. Thought-provoking.

I like that perspective on time as someone who “evades eye contact”.

If you see it as a conflict situation, yes…

Time has his way of always winning in the end I think.

Very nice Reena! The relationship conflict and the switch at the end really work together well. Co-existing walking on eggshells chasing each other through time…. Very Good!
