a lighthouse on a boat
sailing, talking to the waves
drawing secrets of the ocean
to weave a wisdom of my own
a strong fortress
with liquid hollows
aligned to outer currents
aka tides to the moon
unveiling magic
static illusions- of
giant wheels lugging
corpses of dormant life

Giant wheels lugging… so easy to feel yourself carried along by circumstance, and hard to feel alive when you are. Nicely framed point that one cannot strike out in life without walking in contradiction evoking what seems surreal or even absurd as a floating lighthouse, but is at least alive.

Thank you for elaborating on the theme, Lona!

The contradiction of a lighthouse … moving is a lot like those plans and dreams we shift… a living corpse as i think you say.

Maintaining a semblance of being stationary, while actually moving is a huge challenge. Yes, it happens to values and beliefs and dreams inside us.

Thank you so much, Franci! I have always considered Sara Jacobovici as the Queen of Metaphors.

Yes, I agree. I haven’t seen much from Sara lately. I used to see her posts and comments on LinkedIn and beBee quite frequently and miss her. She’s a brilliant woman.

I last communicated with her on her birthday, July 29th. She said she is planning a comeback on social media, but I don’t see her either on FB or LinkedIn.

Thanks, Gina! It is also about how we manage to conceal our identity, and project a different image.
