I do it every day

It takes a lot of courage to step into the unknown, or so, I was told. And yet, I step into the future every morning with a plan for the day. Since I manage to execute the plan on most days, I believe that the future is certain. I have insurance. I have a business strategy. I have a retirement plan.

I prepare for the worst, and hope for the best.

What if the best does not happen I still manage to coast along and lead an average life?

What if the worst happens? I will manage to cope with my plan.

What if something beyond the best happens? I am blessed. Amen!

Yet, do we realize that none of this may happen. I don’t know if I will be alive or dead tomorrow. I don’t know what lies beyond death. I only have my instincts, experience and judgement to back me up, and that may not be enough.

Hail the Brave Me! I still have the courage to live, and step into the unknown every day.
