Eternity

I pass through a long corridor with doors on both sides. Each door leads to a previous lifetime, and I can choose which one to enter.

But I am looking for a door which opens in the future. I reach the end of the tunnel, bathed in a magical blue light. I step ahead with joy, but find myself on a roller coaster. 3045, 2017, 1952, 3037 …. Dozens of jumbled numbers tumbling all around me. I no longer know which year is in the past and which is in the future.

I start losing sensibilities as I have known them all along. No calendars, clocks, birth or death certificates, chronicles of lifetimes – just a blue light, just eternity – and me, a small speck in that vast nothing ness.

wormholes of time

give no clue of what’s real

and what is life

  1. What an interesting experience. I like you way you have written it. I’ve tried meditating on the future with similar results. The only thing that stood out clearly was an image of my grandson (now 3) driving a car as a young man. He loves toy cars now so I’m pretty sure that image will become a reality at some time. 🙂
