minds are a source of light
life, a multi-coloured dome or prism
reflections define your identity.
it is what you choose to emit and absorb,
and how you process the flow.
does that vision reflect the deepest you
or what you can’t face about yourself?
your replicas give you pleasure
all those who echo your thoughts
willingly merge into your shadows,
do not question your values.
they lend much-needed security
their darkness give you an identity
their emptiness justify your outlines
face yourself in the Sun
recognize what looks bright
shines without borrowed light.
the mind becomes an originator
worlds will follow you anyway ….
who needs shadows or reflections?

A very thoughtful write.
I especially liked these words:
“it is what you choose to emit and absorb,
and how you process the flow.”
I think most especially, how you process the flow, is important for all….perhaps this is called “attitude?”

Thought-provoking. I enjoyed this very much. We really can ignore our own light, getting caught up in reflections. Facing yourself in the sun….that is beautiful.

Maybe we need to be that creator of light

Followers often miss out on their own light. We need not go searching for it.

I like the mind as an “originator”. Good point expressed in these lines: “it is what you choose to emit and absorb,
and how you process the flow.”
