Larger than Life

Being larger than life is no joke.

I look at the white floating figures on the far-off horizon. I love to think that those are reflections of my glory, or wannabes trying to imitate my grandeur. But, I cannot eliminate fear – that they are competitors waiting to pounce and dislodge me from stardom.

Who could they be? Coming from the new worlds I discovered, or the one down below I left a while ago. I wistfully remember the sweet simplicity of those days, and the friends and well-wishers I was surrounded with.

But the choice is not mine anymore. I can be pushed down by those figures up there, and I am not sure of the reception I would get down below. Better still, I will fly higher in the sky and look down at these fluffy white figures on the horizon.

Am I getting perturbed by mere passing clouds?

  1. Sounds a little paranoid? But there are many conspiracies that seem to have more legs than the truth that is sometimes pedaled. Loved it! Thanks for nonparticipating this week.
