LinkedIn has hosted a writing challenge on its fifteenth anniversary, and here is a reproduction of my take.
#WhenIwas15 I thought the world was a fair place, and the best person always wins
‘Best’ at what yet remains a mystery, as overt and covert parameters always differ.
#WhenIwas15 I was given a framework for success and happiness
I grew up to realize that life happens outside frameworks. Success and happiness do not necessarily lead to one another.
#WhenIwas15 I wanted to be an author
The internet made me one, but left me struggling with multiple formats and platforms.
#WhenIwas15, I thought pain is physical and one needs medicines to get cured
I grew up in a world, where pain is more mental/emotional than physical, and people seek anaesthetics in different forms.
#WhenIwas15 I thought being a doctor will empower me to relieve people of physical pain
I did not become one, but I am happy empowering people to resolve different pains.

It’s interesting to look back, isn’t it? It makes me wonder what would have changed the outcome is we knew what we know now.

So many things would have differed in consequence when one looked back! Not surprising!
