A Sudden Flash

The pictures got increasingly uninteresting as he flipped the pages of the album. He wanted to comprehend his grandfather’s life. He had disappeared years ago, leaving behind a bewildered family.

The pictures depicted his life in chronological order for some time. Then, the motley collection of picture postcards confused him, till he reached this one….

He had been to this place. And the old man who ran the hotel had looked at him with interest.

“You have an interesting name and lineage.”

“Are you a seer?” he had sniggered.

“No. But we connect in some mysterious way.”

He knew how.

  1. Oh, I love it! Old scrapbooks, journals, photo albums…oh, the myriad stories they can tell! Some of which are actually true…hehe! This brought a smile to my recovering face this afternoon!

  2. I think think we should travel to the ends of the earth to find the ones who love who go missing. While some go missing in an external world sense, too many disappear inside themselves and are equally hard to reach.
