The pictures got increasingly uninteresting as he flipped the pages of the album. He wanted to comprehend his grandfather’s life. He had disappeared years ago, leaving behind a bewildered family.
The pictures depicted his life in chronological order for some time. Then, the motley collection of picture postcards confused him, till he reached this one….
He had been to this place. And the old man who ran the hotel had looked at him with interest.
“You have an interesting name and lineage.”
“Are you a seer?” he had sniggered.
“No. But we connect in some mysterious way.”
He knew how.

The old albums and photographs have stories we sometimes don’t know.
Intriguing tale.

Nice! This story gave me a chill. I like the idea of the MC piecing together his grandfather’s life.

Interesting interpretations – layered just enough to leave us wondering, which isn’t a bad thing. Delightful reading Reena 🙂

Oh, I love it! Old scrapbooks, journals, photo albums…oh, the myriad stories they can tell! Some of which are actually true…hehe! This brought a smile to my recovering face this afternoon!

He should have asked more questions instead of sneering – serves him right.

He had no idea. And the story has a word limit 😊

So–will there be a fond reunion? Bitter rejection? Confusion, complications, anger, forgiveness? This could develop into quite a long story 🙂

It looks like hiding out wasn’t entirely successful.

I think think we should travel to the ends of the earth to find the ones who love who go missing. While some go missing in an external world sense, too many disappear inside themselves and are equally hard to reach.
Well done.
