I have realized over a period of time, that the children are happier with presents, than my presence on their special days. I have devoted my life wholly to them, after their father passed away, but I guess it is time for me to start filling up my holey life.
May the Holy Spirit forgive or bless me! I intend to start living for myself this Christmas.

Yes, the kids are happy with the presents, because it’s not something they get every day. They have you there on a regular basis, so they are “used to you”. That does not mean they don’t love or value you.
