It is incredibly peaceful, but lonely out here. There was a purpose to my life, and a purpose to my death. But now what? I always knew that I would reach here someday.
Yet, something pulls me back to the people I love. I am not sure if I expressed myself fully. Does my wife know that I still yearn to be with her? Does my dad know that I have forgotten and forgiven the teenage conflicts with him? I ran out of time ….. I ran out of time. My formless, rudderless existence has no axis to rotate around.
Life is a journey of yearnings and seeking fulfilment. Death is a journey of yearnings, till…….
the earth will rotate
flowers will bloom, stars will shine
peace won’t be mine

Such longing in the ending of that haiku, especially after the fresh beauty of the first lines…

Thanks! The theme was sad. Ultimately, this is an imagined state based on what they missed out on. We don’t know…
