I have learnt from life that the phoenix does not rise from ashes. It is a new being, with a new perspective.
The soil is a springboard for life to emerge. The soil and manure remain unseen, invisible, unappreciated, but nevertheless, are a part of the existence of leaves and flowers. They manifest life in different forms, and accept the ephemeral nature of existence.

A thought-provoking haibun. Soil and manure…..this is exactly how life is. Thank goodness for the outcome.
