Unspoken

Richard’s soul must have turned in his grave, millions of times, seeing his beloved shed tears, sitting near his tombstone. I noticed new botanical species springing up, amongst the grass on the tomb.

I remember our soulful conversations in the hospital. The writing was on the wall for us. He had to go. He promised to remain around me, in some form, without obstructing my life.

“Connectedness is important, relationships are not”, he said, “just feel my presence around you, and live the life that you wish to lead.”

Green shoots of life

hold an unspoken promise

of his reincarnation
