“Schooling is imposition of a thought pattern, hence, nobody can claim to be an original”, thundered the guru, “Success lies in choosing the best teacher.”
“Is there something called a school of the self?”, arose a meek, soft voice in the audience.
“Where is the origin of the self? You have been created from a genepool, taught by your parents and teachers, and disciplined by your bosses.”
“Yet, there is always a part that does not agree with them, a part that absorbs all inputs in a different manner than my counterparts, a part that says I am a unique combination of all the components that make me what I am.”
The guru appeared to be flustered, as he faced an unseen force with the potential to disrupt his business.

I think the guru needed to be challenged. He isn’t all that wise, is he? Thanks for sharing your story…one that needs to be heard.

Self-professed gurus make fortunes, with a large network that supports them. Those who raise uncomfortable questions get chucked out.
