“How can you have that scratched sofa in your living room?”
“Memories!”
“What memories?”
“I have brought up three babies, who left their marks on my life. And I had to leave them in a friend’s farmhouse, as the neighbors objected to the ruckus they created outside.”
“These kittens?”

nice
We have the marks on our walls from our first dog (we weren’t so effective at the care and training of a puppy so as to prevent it).
I like the marks on the wall, to this day (nearly 20 years past) they remind me of Ola.

Almost everything in our house is marked by either out cats or the hundreds of foster kittens we’ve bottle raised over the years. Memories can be almost palpable.

More than family. The devotion of a dog cannot be matched by any human.

All families who own a canine do, except those who keep them chained outside the house.
